MakerRoute

Privacy Policy

Effective June 28, 2026

MakerRoute respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

Account details (name, email, password hash), order and shipping information, maker business details, and—if you sell—payout details handled by Stripe. We also collect basic usage analytics to improve the site.

How we use it

To run the marketplace: fulfilling orders, processing payments, sending transactional email, preventing abuse, and improving the product. We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies & analytics

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in, and a first-party, anonymous cookie to measure how shops are discovered — this powers the aggregate, privacy-preserving analytics we give makers about their own stores. It holds no personal information and is never sold or shared. With your consent, we also use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand usage; you can decline those via the cookie banner. Essential and first-party analytics cookies remain.

Sharing

We share data only with processors that run the service (Stripe for payments, Cloudflare for hosting/email, analytics providers) and when required by law. Makers receive the shipping details needed to fulfill their orders.

Your choices

You may access, update, or delete your account data by contacting us. You can opt out of marketing email anytime. We retain data only as long as needed for the service and legal obligations.
